Frequently Asked Question

As an eBay shopper, do I have to pay extra for my winnings?

No. It is FREE. You only have to pay for your winning auction item and your shipping cost with that specific seller.

How am I protected as a Buyer?
eBay offers a Buyer Protection Program.  Please click on link for more info->eBay Protection Program.

As a REGULAR eBay shopper, why should I shop on Insect Collection as opposed to the regular way on Ebay?

There are three main reasons:

Insect Collection allows you to shop for your favorite insects in a friendlier environment– void of any “polluted” items in the “Insect, Butterfly” category. There was nothing worst than wasting my time browsing through countless t-shirts, mugs, etc. Although the occasional “pollutant” may find it’s way into the store, I will refine the search engine to exclude it ASAP.
Allows you to search for the specific species you collect just by clicking on the category name.

As an eBay seller, do I have to pay extra to advertise on Insect Collection.

No. It is FREE to be listed here on Insect Collection.  You only have to pay a commision to eBay upon successful bidding.

How do I advertise my items on eBay to be pulled in by Insect Collection?

In order to make Insect Collection at its most efficient, a description standard has to be accepted by the seller. Just make sure you include the Ebay seach keyword in the description. If it is followed by the specie's Latin name, it would be professional but not necessary as in the case of an unknown specie.  After that, the search engine does not care what you put in as a description (i.e. “rare”, “never offered”, etc).To see what the keywords available are, just scroll down on each insect category.

What if the Ebay search keyword does not exist for my insect?

It is possible that a specific specie is not represented as it may not be a commonly traded insect. Just email me at InsectCollection@gmail.com and will gladly include it as soon as possible.

Why should I help promote Insect Collection as a seller?

It is my goal to revolutionize the insect shopping experience on Ebay. As a shopper, I have tried to contact Ebay about my frustration only to land on deaf ears. Also, Insect Collection will have a strong presence in various insect forums (such as InsectNet.com) and will promote the auctions on sale at the current time. The more complete  Insect Collection becomes, the more exposure the sellers will have.
